How Do You Get Back on Your Feet?

How do you get back on your feet? That is the question I have been grappling with all summer. 

Whether it’s a romantic, financial or a medical setback, we all fall down or slip up at one time or another.

How have you been broken? How have you healed?

I have been humbled literally learning to walk again. I broke my leg over 5 months ago, and despite 3 months of PT twice a week, I can not do the things I always took for granted. I can not do a calf raise on my right leg. I can not walk a mile. It has been frightening to feel so unrecognizable from the energetic, healthy person I have always been.

I have been forced to stretch, strengthen and INNcrease my INNdurance both physically and emotionally. The emotional part is much harder. This Catalyst of Joy who loves to smell the roses and live la vie en rose has been feeling blue.

Doctor’s orders, the way back is dance. Ironic, n’est-ce pas?

I have spent the past 3 years singing and dancing by the landmarks of Paris, creating 30 INNteractive music videos to INNspire women to take their brave next steps and create a life that is not merely OK, but truly magnifique.

Now I have to use my videos to heal myself. 

Getting INNbodied is the key to The INNcredible Paris Workout and to our healing and growth.  You are a phoenix and you will rise and soar again.

Getting out of the darkness and morass of our heads and into the INNer wisdom in our bodies is the way we go forward. 

You don’t have to be a dancer. You can even do it sitting down in a chair and moving your arms.

The important thing is to activate your body through movement, to be uplifted by the energy of music and be INNspired by the empowering message of the lyrics. This helps us heal at triple speed.

From baby steps, to bold step, we can and will soar again. However stuck, broken, frightened and overwhelmed you may feel by the next steps in your life, you can dance your way to happiness and emotional and physical strength.
